Welcome back to the blog everybody! This week we wanted to talk about a theme song we wrote for a podcast titled "Stuck At Home" with Cliff Dorfman and Jason Smith. We wrote this theme song at the height of the pandemic and the hosts absolutely loved it! I began editing the podcast and was told that they felt the need for a new theme. After I wrote the music and lyrics it was time to record it. Perfect time to get a PCL plug multiple times a week, huh?
The theme song played at the beginning and end of each episode and features Jake's vocals and my guitar. Additional musicians featured on this theme are Todd Encarnacion (drums) and Colin Maher (guitar). The four of us absolutely kicked ass on this theme and if you don't believe me have a listen for yourself. I'm pretty sure it will be at the bottom of this blog. If you STILL don't believe me maybe some testimonial clips from the show's guests will at least get you to understand how bad ass this was for us.
Blake Neely, composer for the hit show Flight Attendant, says "your theme song is awesome" and Ed Quinn, actor from Tyler Perry's The Oval said, "it's the best podcast theme song [he has] ever heard." In addition, Cliff Dorfman, one of the coolest guys you could ever meet and a writer for Entourage, said "[Jason and I] are obsessed with it." You can watch snippets of the clips if it interests you at all right here.
I had the best time working on this podcast and am sad to say that it is no longer running due to the unfortunate passing of the best boss, mentor, friend, and host of the show, Jason Smith.
Jason, I just wanted to say thank you so much for giving PCL and I the opportunity to work on this project for you. I could never thank you enough for helping me get started in this industry. Rest In Peace. Hazaaa!!!!
